TEKNA TOUR PACKAGE

"We named our journey Tekna, a Tuareg word for 'chill', because we believe the best way to see the desert is with a quiet mind. Leave the logistics to us, breathe out, and let the spirit of the uncharted unfold around you."

7-Day Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival & The First Night
We meet you at Djanet airport. After tea and a briefing, we drive south into the desert. We set up our first camp at Tinamali, where you’ll sleep under a sky filled with more stars than you’ve ever seen.

  • Day 2: Entering the Tadrart Canyon
We drive into the In-Djaren canyon. Here, the desert begins to change. We stop to see ancient rock art (engravings of giraffes and elephants) and settle into our camp surrounded by high sandstone walls.

  • Day 3: The Golden Dunes of Moul Naga
Before we reach the red sands, we explore Moul Naga. This area is famous for its vast golden dunes that contrast against black rock "castles." It is the perfect place for a quiet afternoon walk in the soft sand.

  • Day 4: The Red Majesty of Tin Merzouga
We reach the deepest part of our journey: the Tadrart Rouge. The sand here is a stunning deep orange and red. We will hike to the top of the highest dune in the region to watch the sunset turn the entire world red.

  • Day 5: Arches & Hidden Labyrinths
We begin our loop back, stopping at Tikoubaouine. You will walk through a natural "labyrinth" of rock pillars and see massive stone arches carved by the wind over millions of years.

  • Day 6: The Great Golden Sea (Erg Admer)
We leave the rocks behind and enter Erg Admer, a massive "sea" of endless golden dunes. This is the classic Sahara you see in movies—pure, rolling waves of gold. We spend our final night camping in the heart of these dunes.

  • Day 7: The "Crying Cow" & Djanet
On our final morning, we visit Tegharghart to see the famous "Crying Cow" (La Vache qui Pleure). This 7,000-year-old rock engraving is a masterpiece of prehistoric art. Afterward, we return to Djanet for a shower, a visit to the local market, and a farewell dinner before your flight.
